Artist Bio

Juliet Taylor is a Louisville-born mixed media artist whose career began with multicolored live paintings and has since expanded into mural work, textiles, clothing design, and metal fabrication. In recent years, she has focused on drafting and garment construction, creating textiles and wearable art that reflect both craft and cultural storytelling. Alongside this, she has developed skills as a metal fabricator, blending the two disciplines—most notably as lead fabricator for the SPARK installation at Louisville Visual Art. Her inspiration comes from the Ohio River Valley’s landscapes, the eccentric characters the region produces, and the perspectives gained through her travels. Taylor’s work has been recognized with the Emerging Artist Award at the 2025 Louisville Visual Art Honors and as a Featured Designer in KMAC Couture 2024 and 2025. She maintains a studio at Louisville Visual Art and also works at Rockerbuilt Studios.
