Artist Bio

Lizzie Gulick's art concerns recontextualizing the Sacred Feminine and its importance in our relationship with Earth. Her practice contains 20 years of Wild Plant Dyeing and sculpture and painting. She researches European Prehistory and pre-Christian agrarian rituals. She studied Textiles at the Penland School of Craft (1996-2007) holds a BA from The Evergreen State College (2005)and an MFA from The Vermont College of Fine Arts.(2019)Travel to sites of historical feltmaking have left a deep impression on her work and life. She lives and works in Louisville, KY.
