This large fabric poem by artist Alyce McDonald mixes beautiful neutral-toned fabrics with transferred images of a pair of young schoolgirls. The accompanying quote from Kristen Morrison reads, "Your greatest contribution to the universe, may not be something you do, but some one you raise." Approximate Dimensions: 11.5"L x 11.5"W.

Alyce McDonald (Louisville, KY) worked for several years in the fashion fabrics industry where her love of fiber, texture, and surface design led her to find her voice as an artist. McDonald uses everything from antique textiles to interesting papers, photos, and vintage ephemera to create her pieces. She states, "When I begin working, I let each piece unfold itself. I'm never sure where it will end, but I always know when I am there."
