Artist Bio
Kelly McCarthy has been making art her whole life, and took one painting class while in college. She did her senior thesis in the Western College Program at Miami University on images of  pregnancy and birth in US history.  Kelly moved to Louisville from Oregon in 2001, where she’d moved after graduating in 1996 to study midwifery, work at a women’s health clinic, have her first two art shows, and her first son. Now, 25 years later, Kelly lives near Schnitzelberg. She has an easel sitting in the corner of her home, where she paints every chance she gets.  A busy mom of five (three still at home), she works as a Licensed Massage Therapist as well.  (www.kellymacart.com)
