Artist Bio
Suyun Son is an artist working out of Louisville, Kentucky. Born in Seoul, South Korea, she holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts in South Korea and Master of Fine Arts at the University of Louisville. She uses paintings, prints, fabric art, installation art, and poetry to generate a more expansive understanding of identity and belonging. Her work has appeared in public programs such as 4th Street Live’s Street Art and recently awarded  2nd place for “Artistry Unveiled: A Showcase by Art Educators.” Suyun's work has been exhibited at Georgetown College (Georgetown, KY), Continent to Commonwealth (Frankfort, KY), VAE Gallery (Raleigh, NC), Village Art Circle (Cary, NC), and others.
