Artist Bio

Mary Dennis Kannapell is a multi-disciplinary artist and designer. She studied sculpture and Theater at Edgecliff College in Cincinnati, Ohio, and continued her studies in painting, sculpture, illustration, and graphic design at Cincinnati Art Academy, Parsons School of Design (NYC), the School of Visual Arts (NYC), the Art Students League and The American Museum of Natural History. She received her BFA from the University of Louisville in sculpture with a focus on ceramics and glass. She has worked as a designer, craftsman, muralist, illustrator, and creative director for such clients as Henson Associates, Quaker Oats, Bette Midler, Actors Theatre of Louisville, The Louisville Zoo, Glassworks, The Weber Group, and many others. Her work has won numerous awards and has been exhibited both regionally and internationally. She continues her work in a broad range of media including painting, ceramics, glass, and fiber.
