This beautiful, one of a kind nest by Dennis Shaffner is handwoven with rattan and wool that has been dyed in muted, earthy reds, yellows, greens, light browns with natural dye. Handknit egg included. Dimensions: 9"W x 4"H. 

 

Dennis Shaffner (Shepherdsville, KY) specializes in making basket forms and fiber sculptures. He uses a traditional Japanese basketry technique for his free form pieces, which are made out of honeysuckle, akebia vine, rattan, seagrass, rafia, and many other natural materials.
