Your gift, big or small, is much appreciated and ensures KMAC's sustainability and future as a vital and community-focused contemporary art institution for visitors and art-lovers of all ages.

We believe that through art, we share humanity, which enables us to communicate and grow. KMAC contextualizes Kentucky artists alongside diverse creators from around the world. We also provide unique opportunities for local high school and college students by showcasing their artistic achievements with our signature events and in our exhibition spaces -  like no other museum around.

Donations help secure the future of this important community institution - a place where all are welcome and imagination is encouraged. You're helping to make sure that KMAC is here for another 40 years of connecting people to art and creative practice.

Here are some of the amazing things we were able to do in 2023:

  • Exhibited artwork by 71 artists from Kentucky and around the globe

  •  Doubled the size of our permanent collection through an extraordinary gift by the late Mary Norton and Alfred R. Shands

  • Partnered with guest curators and organizations including Tiger Strikes Asteroid and Korea Fiber Art Forum

  • Held monthly local artists' studio tours

  • Curated a trip to the Venice Biennale 2022

  • Welcomed over 500 attendees at our free monthly Poetry Slams

  • Awarded cash prizes for outstanding poets

  • Provided field trips for over 2,000 students

  • Sang, danced, and made art with over 700 young children during the weekly Tiny Art Tales program

  • Brought the Mobile Museum Program to 3,000 students

  • Provided KMAC Members with discounts in the KMAC Shop and Café all year round
