Lonnie & Twyla Money: 50 Years of Kentucky Appalachian Folk Art
November 11, 2023 – January 21, 2024

Vernissage, an Exhibition Launch Party: November 10, 2023, 5:30 - 8:00 pm

Lonnie and Twyla Money went from being full time farmers to full time artists, honing their skills and evolving their craft as they developed production and a business practice that is defined by their passion, resourcefulness and the joy they derive from making their art and sharing it with others. This exhibition represents the culmination of work by these two iconic Kentucky artists who have not only been making highly regarded folk art pieces, but who have helped shape this unique Appalachian art form. This exhibition was organized by Karen Abney in conjunction with the release of her book Lonnie and Twyla Money: 50 Years of Appalachian Folk Art.
