MOBILE FIELD TRIPS

KMAC Mobile Field Trips offer a core-content based traveling exhibition presentation followed by a hands-on art making activity. A KMAC Museum Educator will come to your school to set up an exhibition from one of our Mobile Museum suitcases. Students will be led in a discussion about artists, materials, process, and themes. They will also be able to handle the art! Students will then be led in an art making lesson based on the theme of the Mobile Museum. Students will be encouraged to curate their own exhibition with the artwork they make as a class.

Themes include:

  • African American Art

  • Ceramics

  • Fiber Arts

  • Folk Art

  • Native American Art

  • Printmaking

  • Traditional Craft

Cost: $350 for a 2-hour session with up to 32 students. Additional classes only $200
