Edwin Ramirez (Louisville, KY) creates handmade pieces that reflect the natural environment and his experiences as a synesthete (seeing sound) to create what he calls “wearable emotional landscapes”. The works often include found and foraged materials, semi-precious stones, and up-cycled textiles. Edwin has exhibited at various galleries in Kentucky, including Speed Art Museum, KMAC, and the Kentucky State Capital Rotunda. In 2024, Edwin was selected as a regional artist in residence at Bernheim Arboretum and Research Forest. His works have been worn by local musicians, models, entomologists, commissioned by an internationally renowned author, and exhibited at various venues for local events including “Bjork Ball” and “Dark Castle Festival”.
