Woven black fascinator with black net veil and gold embroidered accents by milliner Joy Scott, whose inspiration for her collection is "my late mother, whose heritage was Jamaican, Scottish, and Indian...She was quite the fashionista and had a love of hats and flowers...I grew up watching her adorn her head with some lovely hats. And whether it was a brim hat, cloche or small cocktail hat, it usually featured exquisite flowers, bows and / or veiling." Hat measures approximately 6.5" x 7" and an elasticized band.

This item is available for local pickup only during regular museum hours, Tuesday through Sunday, 10am-5pm.

Joy Scott (London, UK) is a British hat designer with over ten years of experience who has a passion for the unique. She creates hats and headpieces that are one-of-a-kind just like the people who wear them. An alum of Kensington and Chelsea College, Scott also studied special millinery techniques with the late Marie O’Regan, retired Royal Milliner to the late Queen Elizabeth. She finds inspiration everywhere and sees hats in nearly everything - from the architectural shapes of buildings to modern furniture designs and sculptural shapes.
