Field Guide for Sedimentary Time features a series of collages by visual artist, writer, and educator Dan Gunn, that were created from a geology book belonging to the artist's grandmother.  With contextual contributions from poet Sommer Browning, cultural ecologist Ash North Compton, and essayist Matt Morris, this book discusses rural nostalgia, landscape, and class.

The publication of Field Guide for Sedimentary Time coordinates with Dan Gunn's exhibition Sawyer at KMAC Contemporary Art Museum from November 10, 2023-March 3, 2024.
