Artist Bio
For 17 years, Angela taught fiber arts at the Waldorf School of Louisville. She taught spinning, weaving, plant dyeing, dry and wet techniques in felt-making, embroidery, knitting, crochet, patternmaking, stained glass mosaic, shoemaking, spoon carving, dollmaking, pattern making, and sewing by hand and machine to students in grades 1-8. She published several soft toy designs using wood, knitting, and sewing  in Living Crafts Magazine, including photographing a cover for this nationally distributed magazine. Along the way, she fabricated quilted backdrops and quilted and embroidered Torah mantles for two chapels in the Temple on Lime Kiln Lane, designed by Bob Markert. She has a drawing on display in the private dining room at Proof. She has modeled for KMAC couture and participated as an artist for 4 years. 
 
Before all of that, Angela worked as a seamstress, doing alterations and custom designs  in various bridal and boutique shops in Louisville. Over the past 30 years, she has continued to take occasional alterations and custom sewing jobs and has a home studio. 
Currently, she is working as a child trauma therapist. Angela also completed a course at Boston Architectural College in trauma-informed design and is looking to use her skills to bridge art and mental health.
