Museum Bees by Trace Mayer challenge the notion that luxury must be expensive! Each piece is constructed from discarded, broken, or leftover materials into an object that alludes to the natural world, storytelling, memory, and classical and modern art. Traditional references are combined with symbolic objects to create new meaning. Each Museum Bee varies in size from approximately 1" to 7".

Trace Mayer (Louisville, KY) is an antiques dealer and the creator of Museum Bees, art pieces that were born out of a love of historic museum quality antique frames, furniture, objects and art. In a nod to Museum Bees' birthplace, each piece is signed with the initials of the current year's Kentucky Derby winner.
