Artist Bio

Rachel Singel is an Associate Professor at the Hite Institute of Art and Design at the
University of Louisville, focusing on printmaking, papermaking, and book arts. She received a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Virginia in 2009 and a Masters of Fine Arts in Printmaking from the University of Iowa in 2013. Her art, often centered on environmental themes, includes making paper from invasive plants. Singel has participated in numerous international residencies and exhibited her work globally, with pieces in various collections.
